*NSYNC may not have toured together for over 20 years, but fans of the beloved boyband have held out hope for a reunion as members have gone down separate paths and had successful careers of their own. After the band reunited last year to release their first song in decades, and once again on Justin Timberlake's latest album, that hope grew even more. Now, Chris Kirkpatrick is sharing an update on a potential reunion with his fellow boybanders.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight at the New York premiere of Deadpool & Wolverine on Monday (July 22), Kirkpatrick shared his own hopes that the band will get back together for new music and possibly even a tour. The band reunited in 2023 on an original song for the Trolls Band Together soundtrack and earlier this year on the song "Paradise" for Timberlake's album Everything I Thought It Was.

"Well, we've been talking about it for a while," he said. "We're kicking the tires, seeing if the car will still drive, and, you know, we'll see where it leads."

Kirkpatrick — who was one of the five *NSYNC members alongside Timberlake, Lance Bass, JC Chasez and Joey Fatone — didn't share any specific plans but said he hopes the band can figure something out to please the fans who would like to see them have a full reunion.

"Hopefully, you know, we're all kind of in agreement that, moving forward, our fanbase and a lot of people, still want this," he said. "So we can't disappoint them. So it's not a positive, but it's a we'll see."

While at the movie premiere, the 52-year-old musician also gave his thoughts on Deadpool & Wolverine featuring *NSYNC's hit song "Bye Bye Bye" in the film, revealing that he was excited to see the band's iconic track be a part of the franchise.

"When we got the call, like, we sign off on a lot of stuff for the songs and it's like, 'Oh, sign off for this, sign off for this,' I saw Deadpool and right away and I was like, 'I will outvote everybody in this band! This song will be it,'" he said, jokingly adding, "It didn't matter what they were gonna vote! I outvote them anyways, I can kick all their a--es."
