Ellen DeGeneres plans to leave Hollywood in the near future, and we might never see her again.

According to E!News, the former daytime talk show host, who keeps a low profile with wife Portia de Rossi now that she's "retired," performed a standup set in Santa Rosa, California, on July 1, where she revealed that she's soon to be "done" with the entertainment industry forever.

"This is the last time you're going to see me. After my Netflix special, I'm done."

She continued, thanking fans for their consideration and informing them of what she's been up to since The Ellen DeGeneres Show ended in 2022.

"Thank you for still caring! Let me catch you up on what's been going on with me since you last saw me. I got chickens. Oh yeah, and I got kicked out of show business for being mean. Old, gay and mean—the triple crown."

The 66-year-old star assured that she was not "mean" despite hearsay over the last couple of years, but at this point, has little regard to how others view her.

"I used to say, 'I don't care what people say about me.' Now, I realize I said that during the height of my popularity."

Fans can look forward to hearing more about DeGeneres' "cancellation" in her upcoming Netflix standup special, set to air later this year.
