This is set to start rolling out in Denver & in fact, you may already have access to it. Uber has added a new safety feature called "RideCheck". It works pretty much by using GPS and some other sensors in your phone plus your driver's phone to see if your ride is going as planned. If there are any unexpected stops or route changes etc, RideCheck sends a message to both you and the driver to make sure everything is good. This makes Uber rides safer and helps prevent bad things from happening. I often don't worry about myself on Uber rides but I do often worry about the people I care about more.
